Physical, Not Emotional

Your long brown hair;
The way it floats in the air;
Your smile and the way it makes me feel agile;
Your luscious lips and oh how I can't forget those hips;
Your eyes are so cute and no one would dispute;
Your cheerful cheeks make it so I can't speak;
Your beauty is truly like no other;
This is why I want you and no other.

Now I originally wrote this roughly three and a half years ago.  It was a gift to my girlfriend at the time and I meant every single word of it.  I only bring this up because I found it hidden in a stack of junk papers from my high school years.  This poem itself is nice because it really reflects on the personal aspect of the person.  I explain how her brown hair floats in the air and how her luscious lips and hips excited me.

Now it would be wrong of me to use this piece to explain how I felt now, but unfortunately it does.  I hate how the way I conducted this poem points out the physical attraction.  It's stereotypical of me to say that I have a "type" but if my attraction towards someone three and odd years ago is exactly the same as today, I have to admit it.  The good news is that I am still me so in turn I can change the manner in which I parade my attraction towards another.

This blog itself is just a starter piece, something to get my feet wet into this social network, if I can call it that.  Later on I will be posting more pieces whether they be visual or written artwork. This is it for now so hang in there, more will follow.
